The Perpetual Light Society

The Catholic Foundation of South Louisiana's Legacy Society was created to honor those members of our community who have pledged lasting gifts through The Catholic Foundation to benefit their church parish, school, diocese or favorite ministry. Our Perpetual Light Society members are models of faith and commitment being good stewards of the blessings the Lord has given them. With a legacy gift, you ensure that future generations experience the joy of your generosity.

When you join the Perpetual Light Society, you receive special recognition by the Catholic Foundation of South Louisiana and the Bishop of the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux including:

• Personal invitation to be honored and recognized at our annual Perpetual Light Society Mass and Reception with the Bishop. (August 25, 2022 at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral)
• Name your charitable fund. We encourage you to use your gift in honor of the name of your family or loved ones. Or if you prefer, you may choose anonymity instead.
• Share your personal history. We would like to preserve your story and photographs for future generations who will receive grants from your fund.
• Attend special events. We will introduce you to other generous and forward thinking people who have also included our community in their estate plans.
• Receive recognition in Community Foundation publications. We’d like to give others the opportunity to follow your example of community stewardship and leadership.
